Principal / Director. Tots, Commercial/Street Dance, Jazz, Ballet & Tap

Fay joined the Aviv team in 2009, teaching a range of students from age 2 to adults, before taking over the role of Principal/Director in 2013.

Fay has a National Diploma in Professional Dance Theatre from Performers College where she also gained numerous teaching qualifications. She has a natural talent for teaching young children which is beautifully demonstrated in the Tots Dance class and continually inspires and challenges teenagers in Street Dance. She also has a particular talent in demonstrating and teaching Tap Dance where her innovative choreography combines traditional Tap with Jazz and American Street influences.

Besides running the studios and teaching in both Watford and Harpenden Schools, Fay also directs and choreographs for the Aviv Dance Annual Shows and the Junior and Senior Aviv Dance Performing Companies.

Fay also leads workshops and guest choreographs at local secondary schools, including workshops for GSCE PE students to develop their dance skills for their final assessment. She is currently guest choreographing for the contemporary group “Evoke” at Parmiter’s School.

Fay regularly choreographs the Annual pantomime at the Hawthorne Theatre, Welwyn Garden City for CW Entertainment. Her previous credits include “Beauty and the Beast” 2017, “Aladdin” 2018 and “Snow White” 2019.

Vice Principal. Hip-Hop/Commercial, Contemporary & Lyrical

Emma became Vice Principal of Aviv Dance Studios in 2018.

Emma joined the Aviv team in April 2013, and teaches Hip-Hop/ Commercial at our Harpenden School. She also teaches our Teen Contemporary class in Harpenden and our Adults Inter/ Advanced Lyrical class in Watford.

Emma has a Trinity National Diploma in Musical Theatre from Performers College, where she also gained her DDI teaching qualifications in Modern, Tap and Ballet. Since graduating in 2012, her professional performing credits include many high profile corporate events, “The Cancer Slam” advert for Cancer Research UK, and the London 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremony.

Emma has a natural talent for choreography and teaching. Her classes focus on the challenges of combining strength, technique and style.

Sue Wright

Sue Wright

Ballet & Contemporary Dance

Sue, a highly respected dance teacher and educator, has been working at numerous performing arts schools, colleges and universities since 1987. Her work includes teaching and adjudicating GCSE and A Level Dance. She is also currently the Dance Course Leader at West Herts College.

After completing her dance training at Brooking School of Ballet, London, Sue began her professional career touring England and the Middle East with a Jazz Dance company for 4 years. She has choreographed and danced for many hair shows, cabaret groups and contemporary dance companies including Dacoja, Dance Etc.,and Genevieve Ollerenshaw at The Place, London. She also gained teaching qualifications from the Association of Russian Ballet and Theatre Dance.

Sue has been a member of the Aviv Dance faculty since 2006 where her modern teaching styles have proved very popular with young students as well as adults in Ballet and Contemporary Dance.

Lauren McGuire

Commercial / Street

Lauren joined the team in 2019, and teaches Commercial/ Street at our Watford studio. As a past student of at Aviv, we are very proud to have Lauren return as a teacher.

Lauren is a professional dancer, and trained in Commercial, Lyrical, Contemporary, Ballet, Tap and Jazz. She graduated from Creative Academy with a first class honours degree in dance. Lauren has travelled all over the world performing at dance shows in France, the Maldives and most recently Saudi Arabia, where she performed at the 2023 Kings Cup Final. Her credits also include performing in a Netflix drama series, ITV’s Dancing On Ice and music videos for George Ezra.

Lauren is an outstanding choreographer, with her classes focusing on technique, strength, stamina and performance skills.

Daniella Abrahams-Atitebi

Daniella Abrahams-Atitebi

Street & Boys Hip Hop

Daniella joined the Aviv team in 2024, and teaches our Street II and Boys Hip Hop classes at our Watford studio.

Daniella is a versatile teacher with a passion for hip-hop styles and Afro Dance styles. Her dance training includes styles such as house, krumping and hip-hop, and her natural teaching style brings out the best of her students every week.

Daniella has also been a member of the award-winning Hip-Hop theatre company Boyblue, and continues to work in the industry professionally alongside her teaching.

She has a true love for dance and being surrounded by those who love to dance.

Emily Withers

Studio & Commercial Manager

Emily is our Studio & Commercial Manager and has been part of the Aviv Dance Studios team since 2013. She manages the Aviv office remotely whilst she is busy as a full time dance teacher.

Since a young age, Emily has trained in many genres of dance, including Contemporary, Jazz, Tap and Ballet. Emily completed GCSE and A-level Dance before continuing on to graduate with a First Class Honours degree in Dance Performance from Middlesex University.

She has since completed her teaching qualifications as a teacher alongside working at Aviv, and is now busy teaching PE, Dance and Psychology.

Maya Waghorn

Maya Waghorn

Studio Receptionist

Maya (They/Them) is our Studio Receptionist at our Watford School. After attending dance classes at Aviv as early as 2005, they are thrilled to now be able to support the school as part of the admin team!

Alongside Aviv, Maya gained a love for performing at The Pump House Children and Youth Theatre in Watford and graduated in 2022 with a BA Honours degree in Drama and Theatre Arts (Class I) from the University of Birmingham.

Their early professional credits include Dancer/Dance Artist for Calico Theatre’s production of Curfew and acting in role-plays as part of nurse training with The Queen’s Nursing Institute. Whilst continuing Aviv classes in Contemporary, Tap, Jazz and Commercial, Maya has begun training with award-winning hip hop dance company Boy Blue, to continuing developing as a hip hop dancer and as a performer.

As well as performing, Maya has built up a breadth of experience as a workshop facilitator and teacher. This has included supporting classes and outreach workshops with the dance theatre company Motionhouse, running free street dance workshops for children and families, helping facilitate a drama summer school programme with years 7-9, and teaching and choreographing for a Novice/Inter Musical Theatre dance class for fellow university students.
