Lyrical, Commercial Jazz and Street Dance (Watford & Harpenden Schools)
Nikki began her training at The Royal Ballet School and after nine years of vocational training she became an Associate of the RAD and graduated from the Arts Educational School, London, with their Dance Course Diploma. Theatre and TV credits include Soloist at the Israeli contemporary dance company Bat Dor, the Brit Awards, and worldwide cruises. While living in Israel for 4 years Nikki taught and choreographed for many dance academies and televised dance productions. She was a winner at the Israeli National Jazz Choreographic Competition in 2000, and was appointed Head of Jazz Dance at the Herzelia Dance Centre where she formed and directed a youth dance company.
After returning to England Nikki set up Aviv Dance in 2002, leading to the launch of the Watford Studio, supported by The Prince's Trust, in August 2003. Besides running the Harpenden and Watford Schools, she teaches a range of classes for all ages and abilities from youngsters to professional adults, and choreographs for and directs the Junior and Senior Aviv Dance Performing Companies.
Nikki is also qualified in STOTT Pilates (Advanced Matwork) and holds classes at the Watford studio as well as private lessons at people's homes.
Sue, a well known dance teacher in and around Hertfordshire, has been teaching at numerous performing arts schools, colleges and universities since 1987 as well as secondary schools where she teaches GCSE and A Level Dance. She also holds teaching qualifications from the Association of Russian Ballet and Theatre Dance.
After completing her dance training at Brooking School of Ballet, London, Sue began her professional career touring England and the Middle East with a Jazz Dance company for 4 years. She has choreographed and danced for many hair shows, cabaret groups and contemporary dance companies including Dacoja, Dance Etc.,and Genevieve Ollerenshaw at The Place, London.
Fay has a National Diploma in Professional Dance Theatre as well as numerous teaching qualifications. She has been teaching young children regularly for the past 3 years covering a wide range of Dance styles. While she has a natural talent and passion for teaching little ones, her particular expertise lies in Tap Dance where her innovative choreography combines traditional Tap with Jazz and American Street influences.
Fay also works closely with Nikki co-directing and choreographing for the Aviv Dance Performing Companies.
Lee has a unique talent for popping, locking and 'animation' in breakdance. He is integral to the local and international Hip-Hop culture scene, having won competitions in England and represented the country in battles across America, Portugal and Germany. He recently formed a dance crew called UMA which placed 2nd in the UK Hip-Hop Crew Championships and has joined the Aviv team to teach Freestyle/Hip Hop in Watford to levels II, III, IV and Boy's Hip Hop.
Lisa has spent the last 8 years working as a dancer, touring with Boyzone and performing for many artists such as Take That, Black Eyed Peas and Prince, and was in the original cast of the West End show, ´Thriller Live´. While Lisa continues to work for TV and theatre she also choreographs and teaches Street Dance to people of all ages and abilities and has been doing so for the past 5 years. As a technically trained and highly experienced dancer and performer, Lisa incorporates fitness, style and current moves into her classes.
Caroline began her dance training at Hammond School, Cheshire then went on to tour for 3 years with a dance company working in Theatre and TV in England, Malta, Greece, Germany and Holland.
Caroline has now been teaching for 25 years in ballet, contemporary, jazz, music & movement, pilates, and aerobic exercise for all ages from toddlers to adults.
Caroline also teaches at various other dance schools and colleges and has choreographed for the dance company, Dacoja. In addition to this, Caroline is a qualified fitness instructor and an Associate Teacher with the Russian Ballet and Theatre Arts Association.
Amy has recently graduated from Middlesex University with a First Class Honours BA Degree in Dance Performance.
Her dance career started in her mid-teens when she was made dance captain of Future Shock dance troupe performing at the UK Hip-Hop Championships. Later on she moved up to Culture Shock dance troupe performing at The Breakin' Convention at Sadler's Wells.
Amy regularly teaches Street Dance to children and adults and is currently a member of Uchenna Dance Company - a Contemporary/Hip-hop troupe.
